If you’re driving when you’re “buzzed,” you’re Driving under the Influence –in other words, you’re impaired! If you’re driving after taking any form of cannabis or a psychoactive medication, whether prescription or over-the-counter, you’re impaired! WHEN YOU FEEL DIFFERENT, YOU DRIVE DIFFERENT.
Our JOYRIDE Sober Cab Program can help you get home safely. We’ve partnered with Christie Cab in St. Michael, Albertville and Monticello, and Wide Street Taxi in Buffalo and Maple Lake, along with area establishments to offer impaired drivers safe cab rides home. We provide vouchers for $10 per ride upon request at each establishment. In order to provide these rides, we receive donations from area distributors, health organizations, charitable gambling organizations and individuals who want to make a difference. Safe Communities of Wright County pays $7 per ride and the establishment pays $3 per ride. Since the inception of our sober cab program, we have provided safe transportation to over 24,000 impaired individuals.
